A supplement industry that didn't add up.
Our founder had been taking zinc supplements for years — a practitioner-recommended protocol for reproductive health. The zinc was isolated, synthetic, and came with a copper depletion problem no one mentioned at purchase.
After reading the research on whole food mineral bioavailability, the answer seemed obvious: oysters. The most zinc-dense whole food on the planet, with copper present in its natural ratio, alongside taurine, amino acids, and every trace mineral the human body needs.
The problem was sourcing. Oysters bioaccumulate everything in the water around them — including heavy metals. Finding a clean, verified source took two years of testing oyster powders from New Zealand, Japan, Ireland, South Korea, and the US Gulf Coast before we found Jervis Bay.
